I vote you paint the whole car black so it doesn't look like a turbo oreo going down the road.

The cutout?
It can get LOUD. At low rpms its not insanely loud, but once I get around 4500 to 7k it is.
This is an older video before installing the headers...

Still looking good Ralph. I just joined this place. Long time no see. We need to meet up and just hang out one weekend. I heard Dubbya turned in the max and got a Titan crew cab.

turbo isn't a supercharger

guess thats why when you buy a turbo kit...its called a turbo kit and not a supercharger kit

turbo T..U..R..B..O
Supercharger S..U..P..E..R..C..H..A..R..G..E..R

....hmmm....looks like supercharger is a completely different word

just busting your balls Ed,lol

Now that that is cleared up, car looks clean and very well modded. The CF looks wicked as well a great way to accent the white.

what are you using for EMS?

My last Dyno the car made 302hp @ 10psi.
Ive added some things like the equal legnth headers, phenolic intake spacers, a smaller pully which now makes 13psi and bigger injectors with the FMIC.
Need to get the car to the dyno again to get the tune perfected and see the new numbers.

Thanks, I was originally using a JWT tuned ECU, but when I swapped injectors form 370cc to the 555cc Im now using the Greddy Emanage Ultimate, which Im having a hell of a time getting dialed in just right. I have a fairly moderate tune right now but it could be better. Pulled a newer GTO last night from a 40 roll.
I just cant seem to find anyone localy that really knows the EU really well.

I agree, maybe here soon before the true cold weather kicks in.
And yes, Dubbyas max is no more. He was supposed to let me rob some parts off it before he let it go but he was in a hurry to get in his new ride.

The thing about the e-Manage is the software fluctuates. With the change in weather, octane of gas, etc. When I opted for the Apexi Power FC I decided that standalone was the best way to go in any situation.
Though the e-Manage will work for simple setups, it just won't allow for any stability (guess thats why alot of GRedy turbo kit 350Zs, along with other cars, end up blowing up,lol)

Hmm, I havent seen any flexuations... at least none that are effecting my AFR's.
Stand alone is the way to go, but much more $$.
The only 3.5's Ive seen blowing up are ones that had crappy tunes to begin with and were revved up really high and thats with any EMS. The 3.5 produces more power then the 3.0 but its nowhere near as durable.

Goddamnit ME...I didn't read the rest of the article. Not too shabby. I think it could be more aggressive looking but then again its not an aggressive car.

I'm saying the actual car isn't mean looking. Like take for example the front end of the Kouki 240sx, the lights are angled and it looks very mean.

Ah, the angled lights.
I actually like my front end. I swapped out the front bumper for the 97-99 versions and paired up with my retroed headlights and the fabbed up grill I think it looks pretty good for a Maxima.

I dont really see any point in having an agressive front end if the car is slow and doesnt actually have power to back up the "agressive look".

LOL, yeah I hear ya and thanks.
Trust me, its easy to get carried away in. Bad thing is that just driving it normally still draws attention, its color scheme and the fact that its not too quite.

Unfortunately no. The only vids I have of it was when I put it on the dyno and the exhaust cut out vid.

With the climate getting a bit cooler Ive noticed a rouger idle, I think I could open the gap on the plugs since I closed it quite a bit during tuning recently. I plan on doing so and I will monitor the AFRs and make minor changes as I needed. With "cool tune"( not tuning all day and dynoying in a room @90+) consisitng of a wider gap I think I can get better performance. I plan on doing so quickly to take advanatge of the coooler weather as soon I can. Without altering timing, but by creating a greater spark, I should see some good smalll gains by adjusting fuel at precise times in the powerband.. On a warm, not heatsoaked motor i say close to 400whp. I made 377whp back to back to back on the heatsoaked setup and 385whp on a "cool" motor.
