well boys and girls the date is set and the place is set so it is time to make the official thread and official roll call of people that are coming.

This meet is going to be awesome. i will be posting the link to the menu so you can get an idea of what they have there. make sure and mark this on your calender because you do not want to miss this meet. we will be setting up a cruise from the north side woodlands/spring area to drive there. so post your location and maybe we can get a nice group and drive up together.

I know I haven't posted a whole lot here, that's because I've mainly posted in 240sxforums.com (general posts + write up on how my kyb agx shocks and strut install went). But I'd really like to talk to fellow car enthusiasts around here, not to mention nissan enthusiasts. So if I could I'd like to come - I'd also really like to see that 86 on Lime Creek : ) I know that road like the back of my hand. By then I'll have my tie rods, tie rod end links, sway bars and bushings installed woot! (1993 240sx)

So is this a 2 day meet or just a one day thing? Cause I need to find out cause a couple of my friends want to come and then they need to get the day(s) off. Is there a need for a hotel or is it just a one day thing?Are we going out to lime creek? Is there going to be skis?

ill change the first post but yes this will be a two day event. first day is the day we meet at ski shores we will do other activites as well. the next day im thinking lime creek and other activites. we are waiting to get a true number of people and then we will call hotels to get discounted rates. and of course we will just cram a bunch of people in one room

Lime Creek is interesting, in a technical way, but you can't safely go with any real speed.. its very much a 1st/2nd (in places) gear thing. But FM1431 out towards Marble Falls is more fun cause its up and town and twisty and fast!

Also Lime Creek is gaining more development off it so there's more normal traffic than there used to be..

Last time I drove down FM1431 I thought I was pushing it and got passed by a local in a F150.

I'll try to make it but it's too far in the future to say for sure. Don't count me in or out yet... but I won't need lodgings tho since my dad lives like 15-20 minutes from Lime Creek / FM1431

Lime Creek is interesting, in a technical way, but you can't safely go with any real speed.. its very much a 1st/2nd (in places) gear thing. But FM1431 out towards Marble Falls is more fun cause its up and town and twisty and fast!

1431 past jonestown might not be a bad idea, how twisty is it past jonestown?

Yeah, Lime Creek as a group wouldn't be fun at all. I just mentioned it because I've always been wanting to see an AE86 on it. The only way Lime Creek is fun is solo or chasing/following a friend.

Well I got like 3 cameras I can bring to the meet and one is a pocket DVD recorder and the other 2 are small card readers and capture good vids. But thats all i can do to help out on that part. lol And as a group cruise that would be pretty bad *** cause In ever been in one. let alone I never been outside......lol jk But really either lime creek or FM whatever sound pretty cool to me.

the video thing is a great idea. i dont have a vid recorder so ill just have to settle for taking pics. the FM is more than likely what we will go for since i was unaware that lime creek was a more solo type of drive.

Also guys... I know we are excited about this meet and I'm totally stoaked about it myself, but lets really try and keep this kind of a family meeting. We don't want a fast and the furious meet up in Austin. This is TexasNissans and we need to keep this meet mostly Nissan cars/trucks. I do realize there are some of you who don't yet own your Nissan or your Nissan is broken and that is completley understandably, come in what you can. We just don't want a bunch of camaros coming, mustangs, honda/acura, etc. I think everybody kind of gets the idea. We are going to be in Austin to enjoy some great food, meet some new enthusiats that share the Nissan love, and have some fun. Lets try and stick to that.
