Well Ive been on this site for a while but never have I owned a 240 while on this site till now.

I just picked up this 1995 240sx with a Sr20DET in it. sadly I blew the Head gasket not even a hour after I got it . but o well **** happens. It should be back up and running in a week or so.





Ill get some more pics when I get it up and running and clean. I got some big plans for this car.

very clean looking zenki, nice find. head gasket shouldn't be too much of a pita, take this opportunity to do some work on it, still kind of suck this happening right after you bought it.

Gasket kits are readily available on eBay for the SR. It might also be a good time to install ARP studs too.

Once you are done, why not cruise to Austin (see sig below)?

update: well, the cars apart, and it looks like most the problem was in and around cyl 4, the head gasket got ****ed pretty nice. the knock sensor also got melted. Ill let the pics do the rest of the talking.





check out cyl 4 (top cyl for those who dont know)


ya this gasket is ****ed lol.

please provide macro images of the piston surfaces... Number one looks to be cover in carbon and what looks like pits from detonation

Oh btw before you put the turbo back on I would purchase a steel braided line set because installing the hard lines with the engine in the car can be a B_*** and most people strip the block just trying to save you the headache.

cool thanks for the heads up. ya I did notice piston one but I didnt get a chance to thoroughly look it over.
