I started to use the piece I highlighted as a lift point. Can someone tell me what this piece is? and if it can get damaged?

Thanks!

Thanks! Can this part get damaged? Since it's part of the frame I want to say no, but you can never be to sure.

Thanks again!

I wouldn't jack from the frame rails, they aren't made for that. They get damaged easily. My 240SX has some dents in them from the previous owner using them as jack points... not a big deal on our cars, but irritating nonetheless.

I'd recommend using a floor jack and jacking from the points at the front and rear of the car as per the diagram ("garage jack points")

Yeah, that's what I use now..and it's not a 240 or sentra..it's a G20, but close enough ;)...thanks for the info. guys! I'll just stop using them.

(me=240sx) I jack on the frame rails, and they are dented in a few places... the places that are "correct" get completely ****ed up if you don't have those fancy 'adapters'. The "garage jack points" are actually whre you should jack, but even just lowering onto stands in the 'safety stands' area it'll bend it up. Thing is, I can't get to the crossmember on the front cause the car's too low + front under spoiler, anyways.
