my car has been acting up lately.. like in the mornings my clutch feels like it has 4in of free play b4 it starts to engage.. but then as im drive it to skool, the free play gets smaller, like 2in.. and then after skool after my car has been in the sun all day, the free play starts out at around 2in. of free play, but then as i drive it gets to where theres no free play and its actually engaging the clutch a lil w/o me even pushing on the clutch, and it starts to slip..
i already replaced the Clutch MS.. so im guessin it would be the slave cylinder? the only other thing it could be would be the clutch rite?
its like the hotter is outside, gets the worse it gets
If you have not yet, you may as well replace the slave; its like $15. Then go ahead and check the adjustment on the clutch M/C. You might need to come out a couple of turns. Just dont over do it, because then the clutch will slip occasionally.

T/O bearing??
1. swap Slave Cylinder
2. Bleed clutch system
3. Bleed clutch system again
4. Bleed clutch system again
Try that.

Do steps 2 through 4 here need to be in that EXACT order?

I wonder if you might have a bad clutch fork pivot. or a Throw out bearing comming apart.
If it was the throwout bearing wouldn't it be making nasty noises? I know when the throwout bearing on my friends s10 was going out it made terrible noises but still went into gear fine.

Is it a whine/squeal noise, or gear grind?

You might want to try a steel braided clutch line. You can pick them up from nissan. It helped on my last s13 when i had that prob. They are kinda expensive but it helps.
Replace your slave cylinder and do a really, but I mean really good bleeding job and if the problems continues, take down the tranny and inspect your clutch system. That's the best I can think of. Good luck

its like wen i push the clutch in at high rpms its like "errm" I didn't read about the noise. I can't think of a way that the slave cylinder could cause a noise, it only causes pedal lossesnes and gear engaging prolems. Noises are mainly caused by burned flywheels/clutch discs, or release berings. When I bought my first s13 the clutch was being noisy (only while I would release the pedal) so I took everything down, checked everything and the clutch disc and flywheel were kind of burned so I replaced them and used the same t/o bearing (it seemed better than the one from the new kit) and the problem was over!

No slippage or anything of that nature, then when you depress the clutch and hear that awful noise.. T/O bearing fail... In my old PGT, it was this HORRENDOUS squeal when I applied the clutch.. Eventually, it locked up entirely, I couldn't push the clutch at all, so it was shift on the fly to the shop that day.
Good luck to you! If you need some parts, let me know... We have some clutch kits in stock, 97 bucks. Since they are stocked, I can get my discount too!
EDIT.... After my discount and such, the price to you after taxes and all should be 84 dollars.
